- 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the melted butter into a baking dish and then pour the batter over the butter.
- Carefully spoon the peach mixture over the batter. Do not stir.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with ice cream if desired.
Notes
- For best results, use ripe, fresh peaches.
- This cobbler can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
